Terms of Use
Last updated 20 August 2026
In plain English. Slice Your Money is a planning tool, not a financial adviser. It shows you what you told it, arranged more usefully. Use it to think clearly about your money, but the decisions, and the responsibility for them, remain yours.
The licence
Slice Your Money is licensed, not sold, to you. Your use of the app is governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, the standard EULA that applies to apps distributed through the App Store. You can read it here:
Apple Standard End User License Agreement →
These Terms sit alongside that agreement. Where they conflict on a point Apple's EULA covers, Apple's EULA governs.
Not financial advice
Slice Your Money is an educational and organisational tool. Its plans, projections, pacing indicators and suggestions are arithmetic performed on figures you entered yourself. They are not regulated financial advice, not a recommendation to take or avoid any particular action, and not a guarantee about your future finances.
We are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. If you need advice about debt, investments, pensions or tax, please speak to a qualified professional. In the UK, free and impartial help is available from MoneyHelper and Citizens Advice.
Accuracy
The app reflects what you record. If an entry is missing, mistyped or miscategorised, the resulting figures will be wrong in exactly that way. Features that read bank statement files do their best to interpret varied formats, and the app deliberately shows you what it understood before importing anything, please check it. Always treat your bank's own records as the source of truth.
Subscriptions and purchases
- Slice Plus is available monthly, yearly, or as a one-off lifetime purchase.
- All purchases are processed by Apple. Payment is charged to your Apple Account.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel any time in your Apple Account settings.
- The lifetime purchase is a one-time payment with no renewal.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under their standard policy. We cannot issue refunds directly, but if something has gone wrong, tell us and we will help you make the request.
- Cancelling Plus never deletes your data. The free app continues to work and your records remain intact.
Acceptable use
Please don't attempt to reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute the app, or use it to break the law. That's the whole list.
Availability
We aim to keep the app working well and to support current Apple platforms, but we can't promise uninterrupted availability of features that depend on third parties, iCloud sync in particular depends on Apple's services being up.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from financial decisions you make while using the app. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, though if you live elsewhere in the UK or EU, you keep the protection of your local mandatory consumer law.
